HYDATIC CYST OF THE LIVER OR HEPATIC MUCINOUS CYSTADENOMA

Mucinous cystadenomas of the liver are rare cystic neoplasms, often mistaken for simple cysts or hydatid liver. They generally benign tumors, discovered incidentally on imaging during independent surgeries. Despite their tendency to grow slowly, mucinous can reach symptomatic dimensions. And given potential malignant transformation into cystadenocarcinomas, a misdiagnosis have serious secondary consequences. We report case 55-year-old woman with chronic right hypochondrium pain in whom cystadenoma was accidentally surgery hepatic cyst at general department ARRAZI Hospital - UHC Mohammed VI Marrakech, Morocco.
